this is the orphanage inChabahil, Nepal, where i am currently volunteering...there are 44 children and other staff like cooks, storekeeper, the chairman, his wife n his 2 children staying in the orphanage...so about 50+ persons staying here but there are less than 50 beds...the small children share beds...sometimes 3 in one bed...n some sleep on the floor...the children eat their meals on the floor..with their hands...and some lovely children in the last picture...more pictures to come...but it really takes time to upload..bear with me...

but i would like to sincerely thank all those who haf kindly responded to my appeal for donations...i haf such overwhelming response in a short span of 2 days after i sent out my appeal...i am so touched by ya big hearts, truly!!!...i may not be able to reply each n everyone...but i would like to thank all of you here!!!!.....i would be updating the amount collected soon....and btw each singapore dollar i collected is equvilant to about 40 nepalese rupees....so dun underestimate each n every dollar u haf contributed...it goes a long way here...wat is more important is that it came from ya big heart and that's invaluable!!!......1 small tube of colgate (50g) cost abt 20 rupees...1 shirt costs about 100 rupees..1 piece of underwear for children costs abt 50 rupees...fruits like bananas cost about 60 rupees for a dozen..1 pen costs about 25 rupees...i would be buying things for the children with all the donations collected....would keep u all updated!!!!.....do pop by here!!!!
